Traditional Southwest Pottery Classes

Learn the ancient art of traditional Southwest pottery in one of my workshops or classes. These pottery workshops feature hands on experience digging and processing native clays, constructing pottery using the traditional coil-and-scrape method, applying traditional designs with native minerals and clay slips and culminating in an outdoor firing. Fall 2017 Prehistoric Pottery Workshop

This prehistoric pottery workshop will focus on recreating the pottery of the ancient peoples of southeast Arizona, we will explore the Mogollon culture and their successor the Salado in an intensive, fast-paced, hands on workshop covering the entire range of activities involved in the science and art of prehistoric pottery replication.

An intensive five day workshop March 21 – 25, 2015 at Besh Ba Gowah Archeological Park in Globe, Arizona.
